ABS — Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
ABS is a widely used engineering thermoplastic known for its toughness, impact resistance, and heat resistance (HDT ~98°C). It requires higher print temperatures (230-260°C) and an enclosed printer to prevent warping and layer delamination caused by thermal contraction. ABS can be post-processed with acetone vapor smoothing and is commonly used for functional prototypes, enclosures, and automotive parts.
